Our Transition Visit to Mt Roskill Grammar

On Monday some of Mt Roskill Intermediate students went over to Mt Roskill Grammar. We went and we met Mrs Glamuzina and some of her students. She told us some of the MRGS rules and her students also told us what will be going to happen in the beginning of the year; some students said that it will be fun but some people will get nervous, everyone had their own opinion. We got into our pairs to see the whole school, eg: hall, gyms, classroom, dean centre, tuck shop, uniform shop and more. After we finished visiting the school we went back to the ESOL-class we took a souvenir photo. We had an amazing time at Mt Roskill Grammar School.

I've made a country flag necklace made from different flags. First my teacher printed the flags out. Then he gave it to me and then I trimmed it. Then I wrote the names of the flags at the back of the flags and I brought a long string so I can glue the string to the paper. After that I let it dry a little  bit then it was done.
My country is Ethiopia. I live in New Zealand.

We Made Vegetarian Pizzas

On Wednesday  we  made pizza with vegetables.
We read a story first then we wrote a procedure.
First we put tomato sauce on the muffin base.
We spread sauce over the base  then we chopped the vegetables.
I chopped the  onion. I put the vegetables on my pizza.
I put cheese on my pizza.
At home I would put chilli on my pizza.
We put the pizza in the oven and waited for the cheese to melt.

I like making pizza- it is yummy.

Our Trip to The Museum

On Wednesday 2nd September, our class went on the bus to the museum and when we got there, we went to the atrium first. We got our lunch out and after we were finished our lunch we put our bags in the locker.
Next we went to see the fossils and dinosaurs and then we saw lots of birds.
After that we went to the Education room to see artefacts and we had to be in a group. Then we had to teach people what we learned about ancient gods.
Finally we went to the volcano room where the house shook.

I like to go to the museum because I learned more about Egypt  and ancient gods.

We went on the bus to the Museum. Then we got to the atrium and put our bags away.
Then we split our group and our group went to the fossils and dinosaurs.
Then we ate our morning tea. After that we went to the Education  Room and we saw artefacts from Ancient Egypt. Then we changed to Archaeologists and we taught the class about Sobek. He is a god to the Nile River.
Finally we came back to our school on the bus and went to our class. Then we started to study about Egypt.
I liked the museum because I learned about the Nile river god and other gods and we also learned about Ancient Egypt and I saw lots of other things.
